Our Purpose

Our purpose is simple: to act in stewardship for Henteleff Park.

Restoration and conservation

Maintaining the forest, the creek, and the habitat that depends on both, through planting, monitoring, and active repair where the land has been damaged.

Partnership with community

Working alongside neighbours, schools, the City of Winnipeg, and the wider network of volunteers known as the Friends of Henteleff Park.

Advocacy for the park

Speaking up for the park's future whenever decisions are made about the land around it — funding, zoning, or access.

Education: history and ecology

Making sure the land's many-layered story — Indigenous, Métis, immigrant, and ecological — isn't lost to time.
Our Volunteers

Board of Directors and Committees

Henteleff Park Foundation is entirely volunteer-led. The Board meets eight to ten times a year and oversees five standing committees: Communications, Fundraising and Grants, Policy, Site Management, and Volunteer Management.
